So, you’re at Disney – in the middle of Florida (Central Florida, in fact) and you want to go to the beach. If you have a car, you’re in luck. If you do not, look into renting a car for the day or checking into the various tour groups out there that might be heading out for the day. They can pick you up at your hotel, take you over to the coast while you spend the day at the beach, Kennedy Space Center, an alligator farm, or out on a boat fishing for the day!
Heading East, you’ll be on your way to Daytona, “the world’s most famous beach”, where drivers park on the beach itself. Farther down a bit, you’ll find Daytona Beach Shores, traditionally more family oriented. Further down still, you’ll reach Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach.
Heading West, you’re on your way to the Gulf of Mexico! Beautiful beaches abound. Tampa Bay, Clearwater, Indian Rocks, Indian Shores, Redington Beach, Madeira Beach, Treasure Island, St. Pete’s, and Sarasota. Further South, you’ll come to Naples, Sanibal, and Fort Meyers.
